I have owned my HerStyler for three years. I love it. I have a lot of hair and it used to take me about 90 minutes to straighten my hair. Now it takes less than 45 minutes! It heats quickly and will straighten with one pass. I had a more expensive model ($90+) and it took two or three passes at the highest setting. Now I'm finished in half the time.

I do recommend that you use some sort of leave in conditioner that offers heat protection. The HerStyler's maximum setting is 200 degrees Celsius. That's just over 392 degrees Fahrenheit. So, some sort of heat protection is recommended.

Buy it online and not in a store or at a booth in the mall. You will get hosed.

Separate your hair by layers first. *You can do that by tying up the top section of your hair with a hair tie so that you can work on the bottom layer first* I usually separate it right in the middle, which is from where the top of my ears are.
Add a little bit of serum, that is usually used before styling it with a hot iron, to your hair. *try CHI silk infusion but any heat serum would work* This is just to protect your hair from heat damage.
Then, take the first 4 inches from the BOTTOM [not the ROOTS] part of your hair *it could be less, depending on your hair length* and only put that part on the curling iron. Twist the iron outwards and hold for a couple seconds. Repeat that for the rest of the bottom layer of your hair.
After that, drop the rest of your hair down and begin working on that layer. For the top layer, you can give it a playful look by twisting it just a bit, almost rotating it 90 degrees, but remember to keep it pointing outwards to match the bottom part of your hair. <--That should give you this part: http://i27.tinypic.com/2yx4tiw.jpg
Once done, use hair spray.

I hope that helps.

Start with a curl cream (Bumble & Bumble is really my favorite hair products company) and let it air dry SLOWLY.
Then take a LARGE curling iron and curl in sections - - according to layers. :) Or buy LARGE rollers to set in a row down the center of your part. :)

It's fairly simple! Good luck!

How's your hair so good-looking? I mean, my hair was almost as long as yours yesterday, but today I had to cut about 5cm (because i hadn't cut my hair for a year or so) and now it's shorter again. I loved my long hair, they say my hair's still super long but I want it back!
So how come your hair, especially the tops, look so good!? Mine were all ruptured and looked uhm well, not so nice anymore. I'm so jealous i want my long hair back!! :(
P.s. I love you! :) lol
