I’ve tried spraying hair spray on before doing the long spiral curls with a one inch iorn but it still doesn’t hold long and doesn’t curl like i want it too

Well the best way to hold curls or get the most use out of them is by wet setting your hair with rollers!! Once after you set your hair w/rollers and let it dry, you can go over it lightly with an iron!! And you may want to try a curling spritz vs. hairspray for maximum holding
Never use hair spray. Roll up your hair with rollers and use a setting lotion. I wear spiral curls daily. I use the plastic, magnetic rollers with the smooth barrel and apply a settiing lotion to damp hair and roll up my hair placing the rollers sideways .
