How Would I Get My Spiral Curls To Stay Curled?

I wanted to put spirals in my hair for the first day of school, but when I curl them they never stay long enough. I was thinking hair spray but i don’t want it to get hard. I have shoulder length black hair. Product names would help.

Curling gel. I do this all the time:
    1. Put curling gel in your hair before you curl it(I use Garnier Fructis curling gel)
    2. Then you curl it like regular.
    3. Your hair stays without the hardness!
Plus if you just use a little hairspray your hair wont be extremely hard, and people cant even tell if your hair is hard or not. But that curling gel works!
    Hope this helps(:

i am a hairdresser so i do this thing all the time and have plenty of customers the say the same thing that they dont want it to be crispy. but using hairspray is the best way. heres what to do
1 wash and blow dry ur hair on a medium setting heat on the dryer
2 once the hair is dry use the cold setting on the dryer and blast all over ur head. the reason for doing this is tho help the curl last. ur proably asking y so the answer is if u can imagine the the hair structure. we use heat on r hair to get it to do what we want it to so basically the heat melts the hair into the shape we want it so if u give it a shot of cold air it will set the hair into the shape we’ve dried it to. so now this will give us stronger hair to work with to hold the curl
3 the next step it so start curling the hair either u will use tongs or GHD’S (make sure u use some heat protection TIGI’s flat iron spray) i would definatly use hairspray TIGI’s vivacious hairspray is brilliant and it smell’s amazing. i would spary each section and the once all the hair was curled i would give the hair another blast of hairspray.
and their u go u will have curly hair that last’s but doesn’t feel stiff
    hoe this has helped u

unless you have naturally curly hair, it will get crispy if you want it to stay for long… Its hair not a pipecleaner so eventually it goes back to being what it is… straight… so hairspray… if you want it to stay…
anyway after the first meet no one cares about the curls… no matter what look you go for itll look funny by day end… u can go to school with your tongs and freshen them up during breaks… i dunno if ur allowed tho.

moose could work, hairspray might be your only option either that or sweat on the scalp is frizzing your fair or straightening it.
